Tangled Tongue is the creative home of Andrew Swerlick, a software engineer by trade, but a story teller at heart.

The projects here span tabletop roleplaying games, fiction, and flowers, but they share a common thread: growing something from nothing, and watching it take on a life of it’s own.

The Name

It started as just a simple pun on my name, Swerl -> Swirl -> Tangled, Lick -> Tongue, but serindipitously gained another meaning. At first the name and this site was just to showcase a TTRPG I was working on, but then I realized I had so many other ideas, other stories, that I might as well tangle them all up here.
